The road took him to the big house which led the to the cat walk. Creative lead Ahmed Salim takes contemporary fits and draws from early noughties inner city style to bring its wearer BELIGI.

 
 

An understated D-Boy, the muse.

 
 

 

Salim had begun conceptualising BELIGI while serving a 5 year sentence for Class A drug distribution. Picking up education, gaining certificate in Creative Writing is when the journey began. Making way to open prison his education continued to NVQ Distinction on Creative Media Production.

Open prison allowed Salim to explore his creative mind, on his way to visit family and ease into society he had made a visit to a pattern cutter in aim to land running on his release from prison; Salim learned that sourcing was element to bring BELIGI to life.  

Ahmed Salim now a self taught menswear brand owner and a free-lance fashion production consultant and mentor in youth gang intervention leads project Loose Leaf, an apprentice scheme aimed to intervene youth gang involvement in drugs, violence and serious crimes. BELIGI x Loose Leaf will be working closely with Plugged In Youth Foundation (PIYF), the scheme outcome is to expose youth through a creative outlet; that life has choices and we are responsible for decisions made. To collaborate with  youth of familiar stories, bring them together and sew a new beginning.
